I’m making prostate cancer history.
I’m taking on The Long Run - with a bit of a difference!
This September for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, I’m giving it all I’ve got by taking part in The Long Run… but I’m doing it my way!
Instead of completing 72km over the whole month, I’m going to attempt it in one day! I plan to walk from my Dad’s home in Toorbul all the way to Brisbane City. This will be a meaningful and impactful journey in support of Dad who is battling prostate cancer and also to raise awareness especially to drive early action for those like myself who have an increased risk.
Why 72km? Prostate cancer is Australia’s leading cause of cancer, with 72 men newly diagnosed every day.
