I’m making prostate cancer history.
DONE AND DUSTED
Pleased to report that I have accomplished the long run well before the end of September. My haemoglobin levels appear to have been largely resolved early in the month and side effects from Radiotherapy have been manageable. It ended out being much easier and more enjoyable than I imagined. I am very conscious of God's grace in both the level of financial support given and the strength to finish the kilometres. Thank you again to all who have generously supported this important cause.HEADWINDS TO OVERCOME
5th September: I've made a good start but am unsure how the next few weeks will go. Unexpectedly I began radiotherapy two days ago which will continue for the whole of September. Hopefully the side effects won't make it too difficult to reach my goal. On top of that chemo has also left me with low haemoglobin that can leave me breathless and lightheaded when I exert myself. Apart from these little headwinds I feel fit and well and keen to eat up the kilometres over the next few weeks.PREPARING FOR THE LONG RUN POST CHEMO
Hi donors and friends,I’m taking on The Long Run
This September, I’m helping love go the distance by taking part in The Long Run.
I'd love your support today - for the 1 in 5 Australian men who will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime.
Your support can really make a difference.
Thank you. 💙🙏

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever.
